Black Diamond Radio response page

Yvonne Weighand Lyle invited Black Diamond Radio listeners and Midlothian residents to share their thoughts, experiences and reflections on the Covid pandemic and lockdowns. Leave a comment at the bottom of the page.

Yvonne says “I’ve been out and about delivering creative workshops in local schools and community groups and meeting people across the county at local events, gathering people’s reflections on the pandemic and thoughts and contributions for the development of a memorial for our county.

People have been very generous with their time and have shared a wide and varied experience of lockdown and the pandemic and how it has impacted on their families, schools and workplaces and the broader impact on their local communities.

The key themes for our memorial, developing from these discussions so far, are that it be outdoors, accessible, environmentally friendly, natural in form, and with somewhere to sit for private reflection.

If you would like to take part in the memorial development discussion and share your thoughts on your experience of the pandemic, or the developing key themes for our memorial, please complete the comments section by the Wednesday 9th November.”

If taking part raises any issues for you, there are further resources links on the website that you may find helpful:
