Meet the Artist: Angela Watt - Resonate Together

Remembering Together: Clackmannanshire have appointed their artist to co-create memorials with communities. Meet Angela Watt - Resonate Together.

Angela is a Sculptor by trade, and understands the power of creativity to communicate, to connect and to heal.

Angela founded Resonate Together in 2010 and due to the focus on full inclusion, building trust and equality, and utilising the creative process to bring community together, the charity has flourished.

Resonate Together believes that creating a kind, safe and positive environment enables individuals to deeply connect within themselves, for meaningful connections to be made across our diverse community and aids the connection with place, with the natural world and belonging – growing community resilience for us all.

Angela Watt

Angela says “I believe that when in an environment of trust and kindness, when someone believes in you as an individual, we can all find magic within ourselves, we can discover inner qualities we never knew we had. Healing is core to each of us flourishing in our lives and Remembering Together gives us a moment in time to be human together”.

“For every person, loss due to covid will mean different things. Some will have experienced loss of a loved one, others loss of job or of precious time and for others, they may have found that covid has truly shaken their lives and they feel vulnerable and isolated in this world. It is important for each of us to have the opportunity if we wish, to share our thoughts, our feelings and to understand how our individual lives do have value in our community. As part of the process Resonate Together will take with Remembering Together, we will create opportunities for connection, in different ways, that many of us seek and which helps to improve our own wellbeing through utilising the creative process”.
