Share your thoughts.
Over the past two months, the Remembering Together Dumfries and Galloway artists t s Beall and Katie Anderson have been visiting community groups and public events, bringing a ‘Tree of Remembrance’ and creative postcard workshops as they work to co-create a Community Covid Memorial.
If you haven’t been involved in these in-person sessions but would like to contribute to the project, there’s still time!
Collect a handmade postcard from one of several drop boxes across D&G, share your thoughts or Lockdown memories, then return the postcard to the artists by end November through their drop box network (see below).
Unable to visit one of the drop boxes? You can also drop the artists an email, message them on social media, or have postcards sent to you directly.
Remembering Together D&G drop boxes are available through November from:
- The Ewart Library, Dumfries
- Castle Douglas Library/Customer Service Centre
- Annan Library/Customer Service Centre
- The Library / Customer Service Centre in Newton Stewart
- A the Airts, Sanquhar
There’s still time to get involved in co-creating D&G’s Community Covid Memorial, so get in touch! You can take part in workshops and discussions which will determine the shape of our regional memorial.
