Remembering Together East Renfrewshire is coming to a close

Artists Jeremy Cunningham and Nicola (Nikki) McGuigan have designed Remembering Together, at Eastwood Park, Giffnock, and Carlibar Park, Barrhead. Jeremy’s design is a stone sculpture of a cupped palm, which will collect natural rainwater. Nikki’s design is a drawing on stone using a hydrophobic material, which will become visible when rainwater falls onto the design.

Having spent time with East Renfrewshire’s heritage collection and local history archive, the artists joined communities at Eastwood House, Eastwood Park Theatre and Dunterlie Resource Centre, Barrhead, where community groups were invited to see the progress of their initial ideas and reflections.
