Sharing Space: Dr Adele Patrick - On reflection and relevance
Dr Adele Patrick from Glasgow Women’s Library joined us for an in-conversation with Kim Simpson Remembering Together Programme Manager in November 2022 as part of the Sharing Space learning programme for those working on Remembering Together: Co-creating Covid Memorials.

This conversation explored how we find and create relevance when collaborating with or serving diverse communities though our own reflective practices. Kim and Adele discussed the tools that they use to reflect, to learn and to deepen the relevance of the work that they do, while touching on some of the themes and ideas that have come up in their own reflective practices.
About Dr Adele Patrick
Adele Patrick has been developing innovative cultural projects rooted in equalities for over 30 years. A co-founder of Glasgow Women’s Library (GWL) www.womenslibrary.org.uk Adele has had a leadership role in this change making organisation since 1991 and is currently a Co-Director. Trained as a designer at Glasgow School of Art (GSA) she has collaborated throughout her career with creatives locally and internationally (and received the Engage Scholarship for Excellence in Gallery Education in 2016). In 2016 Adele gained Honorary Doctorates from the GSA and from Strathclyde University and became Scotswoman of the Year. A Clore Leadership Fellow (2018/2019), her Post Fellowship research has focused on feminist leadership. She works with changemaking cultural organisations and creatives as a coach, mentor and trainer.
