Scottish COVID-19 Inquiry – Let’s Be Heard

The Scottish Covid-19 Inquiry is currently investigating the devolved strategic response to the coronavirus pandemic in Scotland between 1 January 2020 and 31 December 2022. Chaired by Lord Brailsford, the Inquiry, which is independent of government, aims to ‘establish the facts of, and learn lessons from, the strategic response to the COVID-19 pandemic in Scotland’.

The scope of the Inquiry and a list of its core participants can be found on the Scottish COVID-19 Inquiry web site.

As part of the Inquiry, Let's Be Heard is a platform where people can share their experiences with the Scottish COVID-19 Inquiry. Experiences can be shared online, in writing or by holding a group discussion.

The Let’s Be Heard web page says:

Your contribution to Let’s Be Heard is important. It will:

·        shape the Inquiry’s investigations and recommendations

·        help the Inquiry understand the impact of the pandemic for different people, and

·        ensure that lessons can be learned for the future.

The Inquiry is investigating how the response to the pandemic impacted people in Scotland, including whether there were any unequal impacts for different groups and individuals.

This stage of Let’s Be Heard will run until 31 October. The web page also includes tools and resources forms, guidance for groups, Easy Read resources, materials for children, and translations into different languages.
